We are working to correct any bugs or technical problems that we have been made aware of. The application is currently in Beta release and our beta users are a key source of information as we continue to improve our service. Why can’t I download music and when will it become available?
We are currently offering music to our users located in the US. It will take several months for us to bring you all of the music you are looking for, and we thank you for your patience. Stay tuned as we regularly add tracks from our record label partners.
Although we are vigorously working on making music available to those of you living outside the US, we do not have an exact date when music will be available for you. We will communicate via e-mail to our registered subscribers and on our web site when music will be available.
How do I download songs?
Every artist page has a list of their most-downloaded songs and a list of albums. Click on an album to go to the specific album page and see track listings. When you reach the album page, a music drawer will pop up at the bottom of the Qtrax portal. The drawer contains all of the songs that are available for download. Once you find the song that you're looking for click the "Download" button to the right of the track.
Where do my songs go after I download them?
All of your downloads go directly to your music library. Downloaded songs are physically stored in the default download folder.
How can I change my default download folder?
You can change the download folder from the Tools-> Options->Main tab. Under Music download section, you can browse to the new designated download folder. You can also select “Always ask me where to save files” option.
Is the music found on Qtrax streamed or downloaded to your computer?
Qtrax is not a streaming service. You download the music files and then play them directly from your computer. The downloaded music can be found in your library. You can then play these files anytime you want in the Qtrax player. You must be online to play Qtrax files.
Why am I getting the message “You need to log in to download” when I am already logged in?
Make sure that your security/privacy settings are on medium (NOT maximum), you have cookies enabled, JavaScript is enabled on the browser and that there is no firewall setting that is blocking the content.
Why does “Use Qtrax player for downloads” come up when I try to download music?
Make sure that you are using the Qtrax player and browser application that you installed. If you use a different browser (such as Mozilla or Internet Explorer) you will receive the message “Use Qtrax player for downloads” because music is only available for download within the Qtrax application.
How can I find music that is currently available on Qtrax?
Go to the “Charts” section where you will find various albums to choose from. Once you click on an album and get to that album’s page, a music drawer will open showing you songs that you can download from that album.
You can also click on songs located in the music drawer in the “Charts” section to find available music. By clicking on a song in the “Charts” music drawer, Qtrax will take you to the album page that song is located on. You can download the song once you get to the album page.
